North Putuo Temple is one of the famous temples in Northeast China. Originally located in Changchun, the temple was moved to Jingyuetan in 1996 and was completed on June 22, 1997 with the opening ceremony of the Great Buddha. The name of North Putuo Temple was inscribed by the late Mr. Zhao Puchu, the president of the National Buddhist Association. The North Putuo Temple includes the mountain gate, the Main Hall, the Building for the Collection of Scriptures, the Ksitigarbha Temple and Goddess-of-Mercy Temple. Although the age is not long ago, it is known far and near. At every Buddhist event, there are a lot of visitors to worship. The Buddhist "Jizo Bodhisattva this wish sutra" talks about the "Jingyue" and "Jingyue Buddha", saying: the true Dharma body of the Buddha, pure and uncontaminated, like emptiness, randomly appearing, like the moon in the water. The moon in the water does not stain the water, and the Buddha in the world does not stain the dust. So it seems, Jingyuetan such elegant and beautiful place, also contains a few points of the Buddha's fate in the underworld.
